Genesis Technologies, Inc. was founded on July 5, 1991 to help companies manage their office printing expenses and maintain their printers. Over the years, our company has evolved to meet the growing challenges of managing printing costs.
Printer Service and Supplies
In the early 1990’s, laser printers were new devices in most offices. Our goal was to deliver a cost-effective alternative to expensive supplies. We also provided on-site service for printers. Most of our clients appreciated our unique Corporate LaserCare program that included service for their printers when they purchased our supplies.
Convergence of Technology
The next step in our evolution came with the invention of Multifunction Systems that print, copy, fax, and scan. Our partnership with HP allowed us to deliver a balanced deployment of printers and Multifunction Systems, putting the right system in the right place. This also allowed us to help companies reduce the total number of devices and save money.
Managed Services
Many companies realize the wisdom of outsourcing areas outside of their core competence. Instead, they pay for services as they use them. We helped pioneer the concept of managed print services. Instead of paying for printers, supplies, and service, our Corporate LaserCare Platinum clients pay for prints. One low cost per page includes everything they need for their printer fleet, including supplies, service, preventative maintenance, helpdesk support, and even equipment.
Today, Genesis Technologies is a full managed print services provider. Most of our client engagements begin with an assessment of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the printer fleet. From there we make recommendations to optimize the fleet. Then, we manage the fleet, providing service, supplies, and helpdesk support for one low cost per page.
